Nagu
Distillery
In the heart of the Åboland Archipelago, in southwest Finland, you’ll find Nagu Distillery — created by those of us who live here and draw inspiration from this unique place every day.
We are a small-batch craft distillery producing premium spirits, using local ingredients whenever possible.
The distillery was originally founded in 1996 but remained dormant for several years before being revived by two childhood friends seeking to return to the islands where they grew up.
After a few years operating on the outskirts of Nagu, we felt it was time to become more visible. Following years of planning and construction, we have now opened the doors to our visitor centre — a place where we welcome both curious guests and industry professionals.
Nagu Distillery have been awarded with several international awards for our products, but Finnish law prohibits us from sharing them. We are also not allowed to describe our products but we trust true spirit entusiasts will seek us out and enjoy our craft.

The New Nagu Distillery
Nagu Distillery’s visitor centre and new distillery in the centre of Nagu have been made possible through support from the European Union’s rural development funding via the ELY Centre (Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment). The granted support together with other public funding amounts to a total of 40.00% of the project’s eligible costs.
The objective of the project is to establish a modern visitor centre with an operational craft distillery, tasting room, and experiences connected to local beverage culture and tourism in the Åboland archipelago.
The investment strengthens the local tourism sector, creates new employment opportunities, and enables the development of small-batch premium products.
The project is co-funded by the European Union.
